FREEDOM QUESTIONS for Caribbean Itineraries

Hi All,

I have been searching for many answers about the Freedom since the ship arrived here in November. I find it odd that not many CC members have posted much about the ship . If you have ANY special tips to share about the Freedom because you have recently sailed either of the Caribbean sailings, I would very much love to hear your information. I am sailing on the New Year's cruise this year with 4 other families. This should be an interesting cruise because we will be just arriving in San Juan at 5 PM New Year's Eve. I have found out that there will be some special activities onboard the ship that night. If anyone has Capers, menus or information on the ship that you would like to share, that would be great! Did anyone dine in the specialty dining room? How was it? How was the entertainment? Has the service gotten any better from the Inaugural sailing here in the states? PLEASE ANSWER SOME OF THESE QUESTIONS! The last sailing that this same group did together was on the Carnival Liberty. We all agreed that it was an awesome experience. I do hope that the Freedom will be equal if not better than that sailing in Dec. 2005.

I look forward to everyone's opinion....GOOD, or BAD....

Thanks!

Robin :)

My husband, sister and brother-in-law, nephew, his wife and son were on Freedom Thanksgiving week. It was a great week. We enjoyed the dining room (late seating Chic)-thank you to our great waiter Oli and his asst. Andreas. Take your waiter's recommendations--he's usually right. Everyone did their own thing-some casino, some sunbathing, bingo, bike or treadmill in the gym, reading. Enjoyed all the shows. Enjoyed the supper club.

San Juan:We walked down the crowded cobble-stone streets--visited the Coach and Ralph Lauren outlet stores and then walked in the rain to Barrachina birthplace (they say) of the pina colada for some appetizers- It was good. Were back on the ship in time to shower and get to dinner at 8:30. St. Thomas:sailing/snorkle with Simplicity Charters-FUN. St. Martin:a lady with a van took us to Marigot & to Orient Bay. Ate at Bikini Beach Tapas Bar/Grill-a beautiful beach.

Our stewards & waiters were great. Everything sparkling. Cabins comfortable.Food delicious. Wish we were going tomorrow.

Coach and RL are both on Calle Cristo about 15 min. walk. Girls are handing out maps in the dock area. We enjoyed the walk but there are taxis. I believe they usually stay open until 7pm. But being a holiday I don't know.
