danpat Posted December 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2007 Probably this question is already been made, but sorry I have to ask it..... I assume that the ship time will be the same as the home port.....how about the ports of call time zones? Im cruising this next feb on the MOS to Labadee, Ocho Rios, Gran Cayman and Cozumel thanks for the replies
Robkatcruisers Posted December 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2007 Just of Mariner 11/25/07 Eastern Sailing. The ship stayed on Eastern time (Pt. Canaveral time if you will) the entire cruise. I had booked tours NOT throught RCI and the Guides made sure to state right at the beginning that they were going by the ship time and would return us at the right time. We never changed our watches from eastern time so therefore were were fine. As far as the western sailing not sure if the time is treated the same however the captain will let you know. Captain Johnny Faevelin (sp) on our sailing let us know everthing we needed to know.
cb at sea Posted December 14, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 14, 2007 It's up to the Captain, as to whether he will change the clocks at different ports. No matter WHAT time it is anywhere else, ALWAYS keep your watch set to "ships time", or you risk missing the ship!
