Serenade Fuel Stop?

Recommended Posts

They usually do this every third cruise.

We were lucky enough to have this happen to us on our ’06 sailing.

And I’m hoping I’ll get lucky again in ’08! :)

They stop late in the evening about 8 or 9 – we had late dinner and missed it to go ashore. We were there for 3 hours, the stores opened up & there was music in the court yard. We did not venture to fare away as it was dark on some of those side streets. :o

If you can find who/when the last stop was you can figure out when the next one will be. Maybe even check roll call threads for chatter about it.

We were on the Serenade in Jan. 05 and we made the fuel stop in St. Croix. Some of the stores, vendors & bars stayed open so we could do a little shopping or get a drink. We didn't venture very far from the center of town. They also had a dance group putting on a show in the street and the Moko Jumbies were there for pictures. We weren't expecting the stop so it was added bonus to our trip.

We had the extra stop at St Croix in March 07 when we sailed on Radiance. We missed our late seating dinner and ate at a restaurant ashore where we could see all the dancers on stilts etc., from our table - absolutely great evening and all the better for being totally unexpected. We were told by the crew that the decision to do this was left entirely up to the Captain - he made the announcement with his lunchtime message.
