richnorto Posted December 15, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 15, 2007 My DH and son have MP3 players they charge with USB ports. Can they charge these in the internet lounge without paying for internet? I've forbidden my DH to get online as he will start working - thus defeating the "vacation"! I hate to pay $40.00 for each MP3 to buy a plug-in to keep the music rolling for workouts! Maybe a silly question, but.....?

richnorto Posted December 15, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted December 15, 2007 Is there a USB port in the cabin or do we need to bring the laptop? Thanks! I really don't want to bring the laptop because he WILL decide to work! A vacation out of the country gives him the only vacation option to not answer phone or e-mail! When we go skiing, he works every morning. I don't want that!
Barek Posted December 15, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 15, 2007 Oh, sorry ... yes, a laptop is needed. I misunderstood your question.
jer_l Posted December 15, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 15, 2007 You can buy an electric wall charger for your MP3's for under $20. I saw one just the other day that was an adapter that you could plug in two usb cables at a time and it would charge two different devices. dakrewser Posted December 15, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 15, 2007 But to answer your question, no you can't charge them in the internet lounge - 'cause there are no available USB ports on the computers.
infohunter Posted December 15, 2007 #7 Share Posted December 15, 2007 The least expensive charger I've seen is this one at Best Buy. It's under $10. Hope that this helps.

Make sure you take along a power strip to give you more "plug-in" options. There is only one outlet in the cabin, that I could find, and you need to charge your camera, cellphone, run your hair dryer etc as well as charging those MP3's. A power strip makes life easier. Off to Best Buy before hitting stores for the "day before leaving" shoe panic! We just realized we are down to 2 prs black dress sandals for 3 girls/mom! Most of our dresses require black shoes and I don't want to be the one people talk about coming to formal dinner barefoot!!!!:D Merry Christmas all!!!
