tipping in Buenos Aires - a question

Customs regarding tips to be left for meals, cabs, etc, can vary from country to country What is appropriate for BA? Also, are gratuities authomatically added to restaurant charges? thanks.

A tip would be very much appreciated by your server. I'd say a tip of around 10% would be fine. Of course, you are welcome to tip more.

thanks, Keith, you have provided so much good information on SA cruising, etc. One other point besides servers in restaurants; regarding cab to and from airport and cruiseport what is an appropriate tip?

Taxi Cab drivers in Argentina do not expect a tip so if you want to give them a little something extra for those who perform some extra service such as helping you with your luggage etc I'm sure that would be appreciated. Sometime, just rounding the total amoun up works well.
