2/13/09 Group cruise

Trying to arrange a group cruise for my friends and I to go on for my 40th Birthday. We picked the Explorer of the Seas on 2/13/09 to 2/22/09 - Eastern Carribean.

 

What constitutes a "group"? how many people and or cabins are required to book as a group?

 

We are interested in booking now and then saving up over the next year or so.

 

What happens if a cabin or member of the group has to back out, does the rate then go up?

 

Any info on how to do this please let me know. We have cruised once before (Carnival Liberty), but no one else in our group.
