beasfriend Posted December 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2007 We just booked an Owner's Suite on the Dream for the 5/25/08 cruise from Boston to Bermuda. What are the perks of the Owner's Suite? I'm hoping to get some feedback/tips from previous guests.
Markandrews Posted December 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2007 I have seen this question asked before. You should do a board search. There are different classes of NCL ships so remember to put dream in your search. Have a great cruise.
byucougs Posted December 19, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 19, 2007 Since no one has answered you. We were in an AA Suite on the Dream 2 years ago and absolutely loved it. We loved the location. The suites are small for todays' standard owners suite but was still very nice. We had hors d'ouvres every day, unlimited soda/water refilled in our fridge (the butler even got cans of root beer for my son), 3 bottle of liquor from a list (we dont drink so we gave one to our CC freinds at dinner and had two non alcoholic bottles substituted), VIP embarkation/tender tickets & disembarkation, VIP Captains Party in his quarters, Fresh flowers. I am sure there is more but the butlers and concierge bent over backwards for us. We loved the private entrance and being right off the pool deck with the daily bar-b-que. Hope this helps. mel31 Posted December 19, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 19, 2007 We just booked an Owner's Suite on the Dream for the 5/25/08 cruise from Boston to Bermuda. What are the perks of the Owner's Suite? I'm hoping to get some feedback/tips from previous guests. beasfriend, DW and I were in suite 1100 on the NCL Wind back in 2006. This crusie was our first, and so far, only cruise (25th wedding anniversary). Being a suite guest on a first cruise, both DW and I were very appreciative of the extras that came with the booking. Priority Embarkation - From the time we entered the terminal, it was 20 minutes until we were escorted to our room by the ass't concierge. She then spent about 15 minutes describing the ship, our suite, our services and other items we would receive as suite guests. There was champaigne chilled in the room and chocolate treats on arrival. A large selection of fresh fruit was a pleasure to have always available. Concierge Service - She was there for any question and/or request we had. Including a booking into the "Le Bistro" on our last night after being told by the matre' d he was fully booked. Access to the CD and DVD library came through her also. She also checked in with us twice a day. Butler Service - These guys were fantastic! In room meals were delivered without delay and the dishes taken out with little wait. They also checked in a couple times a day for any of our needs or requests. We hosted a last night get-together and they assisted with set-up and take down. There were daily deliveries of snacks/canapes. Three bottles of spirits, 1 litre each, were delivered the second day. If you want something that isn't on the list, just ask for it. The mixers we asked for were provided and abundant. The drinks in the mini-fridge were complimentary and refilled every day. The room stewards were wonderful. The towel animals they left were a very nice touch to come back to each evening as was the daily turn down service. The VIP party and meet and greet was nice. Fresh flowers, local newspaper from the port of the day were provided. We were also fortunate to have a wedding vow renewal ceremony conducted by the captain. The ship Photographer was there taking complimentary pictures and more champaigne was provided at no charge. Debarkation was given priority but we didn't take advantage of it. We stayed on the ship until we had to leave. All in all, the staff went well out of their way (in our opinion) to be as helpful and courteous as they could. They attended to and met our needs. After the first day, they greeted us by name and always offered to do something, even when not asked. On the first day, DW told the butler she liked the grapes included with the fresh fruit. After that, we were never without a small mountain of grapes. We found the suite very quiet and a nice place to retreat too when needed. The balcony was a good size for us. We even discovered that the mattress from the pull out couch fit perfectly on the balcony. :) I'm sure there were other "perks" we didn't take advantage of. But the ones we knew about, and experienced, made this cruise our most favorite ever  . Enjoy your cruise. Mark
nlt46 Posted December 21, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 21, 2007 You can have reservations made at the Italian restaurant for all week instead of just one day. You can have warm breakfasts delivered on time. Really nice. Nancy
