I would also like to hear reviews of King of the Nile, as I'm booked on it in February. They list it as "five star" but I'm not going in with outrageous expectations. I've heard the food on board is okay to acceptable. I've tried many websites to get a recent, specific review -- perhaps someone here can enlighten us. :)

Not a glowing review... but I'm not going to Egypt for the accomodations on the ship. I'll be happy seeing all those temples, and sleeping in a bed is better than in a sarcophagus! :D

September is still pretty hot in Egypt. We made our trip this year from Nov. 5 to Nov. 17, and the weather was very comfortable. We traveled with Uniworld and had a marvelous experience--but the river boats are not what you are used to on a European river cruise. The sites of Egypt make up for any shortcomings on the boat.
