B&B in Fort Lauderdale

I have searched Trip Advisor and cannot find any reviews of ASK ME INN. :mad:

Has anyone stayed there?

Scarlett, the owner, warned me in her return e-mail:

"Whatever you decide to do regarding accommodations, just pick any hotel south of Bayshore Drive. The reason I am telling you this is north of Bayshore there is a half way house that takes kids who are runaways, many are on drugs and they do not hesitate to rob for their next drug fix." :eek:

I have never been to Florida and plan to stay 2 days pre- and one day post-cruise.

Any suggestions or recommendations for an inexpensive, but clean & bugless, single? :confused:

Why not head to a hotel on the beach, e.g. Sheraton Yankee Clipper or Yankee Trader? Looks like you have lots of time to seek out a good price. I have no experience with B&B in FLL but the warning you received seems like a big red flag to me!:eek:

The hotel owners remarks are misguided. While crime can happen wherever you travel, there is no rash of robberies by drug crazed kids in that area. :rolleyes:

I may try Priceline again. I had very good luck with Copenhagen and Seattle on PL. :D
