restaurants in Florence for lunch

Hi,

Can anybody reccommend restaurants in Florence for lunch?

we had lunch a wonderful little restaurant called PAULI, the best pasta fagioli i have ever had.. and i make a great soup everything we all had was great...

 

we were in florence in oct of 2006

We ate at a place just over the bridge (Ponte V) with an American name - Golden View or something like that. Food was wonderful. I had lasagna (I know, pedestrian!) and my husband had a bowl of soup that was fabulous.

We enjoyed Quattro Leoni florence. Type it in google and it comes out on top for more information.

Excellent food. Healthy servings. Great prices. Near the Mercato Centrale. Favorite of locals. Like a typical NY/NJ diner they want you in and out as soon as possible. Small place. Limited seating. Menu on a chalkboard (may change every few minutes while you are waiting.)

Da Fortunato's right near the Pantheon is wonderful. It is favored by politicians as it is near the Italian Senate, very few tourists. If you eat at the outside tables there is a wonderful view of the Pantheon
