Belize - Diving / Ships Excursion

CCL Inspirations - Turneffe Atoll 2 Tank dive excursion. ** Recommended **

This turned out to be a rather good diving experience. Carnival uses Belize Dive Connection for this excursion. We had 12 divers from our ship with a max of 18 allowed.

They picked us up and dropped us off at the ship. Not having to tender was an added bonus.

The ship charged $145 w/o equipt and $165 w/equipt. We brought our own.

All divers met at a designated location onboard the ship (Piano Bar/Disco) to wait for the excursion representative to meet us. Once everyone was accounted for we headed down and boarded the dive boat.

After a short boat ride we arrived at an island where Dive Connection kept all the rental gear and supplies. Those needing equipt got off the boat and gathered what they needed. This took about 30-45 minutes.

We than headed out for another 40 minute boat ride to our first/second dive location. Divers were broken up into groups of 6 per DM.

First dive was 53 minutes at 75 feet. Second dive was 48 minutes at 57 feet. Water temperature was 86.

Athough these were supposed to be timed dives (40 minutes) you can see we were allowed to dive our computers. Low air divers were escorted to the surface while remaining divers were allowed to tour below.

We enjoyed our dives and would do this excursion again.

If room was available, non divers were allowed to ride along at $25 each. They were not allowed in the water and were subject to being bumped by paying divers.
