When should we arrive at the port?

Hi, ya'll! We are planning a cruise on Sovereign of the Seas in May and my question is this....We want to board the ship as early as possible, so what time would you recommend that we arrive at the port?

I always get to the ship around 11. RCCL will tell you not to show up until around 2. If you get there early, just be prepared to have to wait a bit, especially if they had trouble with customs, coast guard, etc.

I usually get there around 11:30. You will most likely be on the ship within 30 min. You won't be able to go to you room, but you can make spa and restuarant reservations, have lunch at the WJ, check out your table in the dinning room and try to change if you hate it, or just relax by the pool and check out the ship. Around 11:00am is usually a good time, just be aware your cabin is probably not ready until 1pm and if there are delays you might sit/stand and wait to check-in / board.
