What constitues a group?

We are already looking at cruise number 2 and the kids and their cousins are talking about going with us.

 

I have heard that group rates are cheaper but I don't know what constitutes a group. Just curious because we're going next January with or without them!

Group rates aren't necessarily cheaper.

 

I believe groups start at 5 cabins but the benefits don't really start until after 8 cabins. After that you start getting rebates of one berth for each 8 cabins booked. Also as a group you will get a certain amount of "amenity" points to put towards goodies.
