Cotton Posted September 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2004 If you're gonna cruise out of N.O. during Halloween, this is a great site for all the fun and 'scary' things to do. http://www.neworleansonline.com/tours-attractions/attractions/hauntedsites.html (It's also a good site to bookmark for next time you want info on anything about N.O.) NinaCO Posted September 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2004 Thanks Cotton! Any idea how the food is at Muriel's Restaurant (Jackson Square)? Our Haunted History Tour is starting at St. Louis Cathedral, and I was wonering if Muriel's would be a good start to a spooky evening.
jgmpuma Posted September 13, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 13, 2004 Nothing spooky about Muriel's. It opened about four years ago and was pretty unpredictable at first. It has gotten to be an excellent restaurant over the past year or so. They offer complete dinners (appetizer/soup, entree and dessert) for about $24, which is a great bargain for this kind of restaurant. The upstairs IS spooky. It is usually closed and is used for private parties, but ask your waiter if you can take a look. The French Quarter is a real zoo on Halloween: lots of costumes.
