Coupon Booklets?

NCL now has a new promotion giving out coupon booklets, for cruise 5 days or longer.

My question is, is that for new bookings only or for my trip this summer wich I already booked can I get that booklet too?

There was one last year, and we asked the TA to get us one, but I think they expired before the cruise.

So, there's a new coupon book available now?

The only coupon I used in prior cruises was the match play for the casino. The others were for things I would not use.

I hear there may be a 2-for-1 coupon for the specialty restaurant. If so, I would use that on also. I'll have to talk to the TA.

I have one cruise booked direct with NCL - any chance they will give me a booklet?

The promotion was based on using your mastercard, either for deposit or for the cruise. The only really useful coupons were the match play for the casino and the 2 for 1 for any specialty restaurant. We used that on our recent cruise to nowhere out of Boston on the Gem for Cagney's and it was well worth it. The only stipulation is that the coupon is for the first night at sea, but it was still useful.

Don't get your hopes up about the coupon book. Basically coupons that require you to spend money to save a little. Not worth it.

We also received a coupon book from our TA for our upcoming Jan 27th cruise on the Jewel. Ours also expired on 12/31/07, however, I spoke with our TA yesterday and she said they would accept them on the ship. There are some that we will definitely use, the casino credit being one, buy 2 drinks, get one free, spa and shopping discounts. The restuarant coupon won't benefit us, but, it is a buy 5 nights, get one free coupon. Pretty much have to be doing a 7 night or longer to use that one (and eat every night at a specialty fee restuarant). There is no 2 for 1 coupon for the fee restuarants. Still, a nice gesture.

Thanks Paiagirl. I'm not sure what to do now. I talked with her again today via email and she stated again that the one I had was fine. I know I can't call the cruise line direct because of initially using a TA, but, I can't help but wonder if they will indeed accept the ones I have. When you receive yours, could you let us know if there is indeed one for the 2 for 1 restuarant deal? That is definitely one we would use and I will just have to risk upsetting her to get the new one.

I received an email from our agent, about 4 hours ago, that she received an email from NCL, telling her that the new booklet was mailed this morning. I hope it isn't the same one that expired last month.

Will let you know if the 2 for 1 restaurant meal for the 1st night is included.

Hello Tarps14, our new coupon booklet arrived a few minutes ago. It is through 12/31/2008 with the same code as last year's.

It does have the coupon: pay for 1 cover charge and get the 2nd one free for the first night only.

Enjoy your cruise.

How does one get a coupon book? We booked a cruise for September 2008. TIA

December was a very busy month so I really don't recall if it was our TA that sent it to us or NCL when they sent our luggage tags.

When I emailed our TA last week and mentioned that the booklet expired on Dec. 31, 2007, she called NCL and they took care of it immediately.

Happy cruising.

thanks I will ask my TA to check on it....we are both flying a little blind on this cruise...he primarily books RCCL and Celebrity and Princess.....and is not as knowledgeable on NCL as on those lines...we it's a learning experience for both of us;)
