baggyparsnips Posted January 6, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2008 Hi everyone! We are in Bonaire on 16th April on the Crown and can't decide whether to go snorkelling with renee or to visit Klein. We are docked 11.00 - 7.00p.m so wouldn't be able to get to Klein early. We are snorkelling fans but are not particularly strong swimmers and my daughter and I are a little squeamish (very sad I know!) about scary marine life such as barracuda!!! Your view very much appreciated!!:)
Marie-Claude Posted January 6, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2008 Hi there! Just did a snorkeling tour with Renee. She took us to two spots where we snorkeled from the shore. It was mostly in very shallow waters. We encountered many species of fish, and even a spotted eagle ray which is apparently quite rare! The reefs were wonderful! I think you would have no problems even if you're not strong swimmers. Furthermore, Renee will adapt her tour to suit your needs. Klein Bonaire is apparently a beautiful beach but not that great for snorkeling. I guess it will have to depend on what you want to do. I would definitely pick snorkeling again if I ever go back! kates70 Posted January 7, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2008 Klein Bonaire has excellent snorkeling! Much better than the mainland in my opinion.
