Riu construction noise?

Is the construction noise at the new Riu enough of a bother to make us try to find another part of Palm Beach to sit on? We'll be there at the end of Feb. 2008 and I had planned to take a taxi to the alleyway at the De Palm pier but I'm wondering now if I need to come up with plan 'b.'

 

If we want to rent chairs/umbrella would there be a spot far enough away from the Riu to not really hear it or are those vendors pretty much right in that area by the pier?

 

Am I correct that moomba beach is the only other place to rent chairs on Palm Beach? It sounds like it gets very crowded there and is maybe not quite as nice a location. Any advice? Thanks.

The Riu construction was completed early this past fall. You will have no problems in that area.
