hbennett Posted January 7, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2008 I asked this over on Ports of Call but did not get any responses so I thought I would try here. I understand there is a beach at the Tulum ruins. Is there any snorkeling there that would warrant bringing my equipment? Thanks. Howard

Howard It was many years ago when we visited Tulum, so my info may no longer be valid. When we were there, snorkling the Tulum beach was not an option. dawgdays Posted January 8, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2008 When I was there a few years ago we did not even get in the water but there were quite a few people swimming. It looked like a fairly quick drop off and a little choppy. Could not hurt anything (and free!) to give it a try!
DiveMaster Posted January 9, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2008 Not a prime spot, water typically choppy. This was a late-age walled city so site was not picked for real easy sea access.
