Ok, I've FINALLY got a hotel booked for the two nights prior to my cruise on the Soveriegn in March. :)

Anyone stayed here? Liked/hated it? What is close by (restaurants, Ron Jon's, etc)

Thanks all!

Doubletree is not a bad place and it was renovated after the 2004 hurricanes.

right accross the street you have a shopping center that has Publix, clothing shop, nail place (Hollywood Nails), Sonny's Bar-b-Que and this is just to name a few of the places. You aren't that close to Ron John's but you have the beach right in back of the hotel.

Hope this will help with decisions.

Always

Shirley

It is great! We stayed there in Oct. 06 and it was awesome - but I've not stayed at a Doubletree that wasn't good. We have also stayed at the Radisson and a Clarion in the area and Doubletree was significantly better. The only negative is that it is about 5 miles from the port, but if you have a car, NO PROBLEM! The Port Canaveral area is really easy to navigate and there are lots of good restaurants in the area. The most fun part was that on the afternoon before our cruise, we were able to sit on the beach and enjoy the ocean and then watch as all the cruise ships were leaving around 5:30 or 6pm. It really got us excited knowing that we would be on our ship the next day. Enjoy!
