Jewel of the Seas = Smoking Policy

Could someone who has recently cruised on the Jewel of the Seas what the smoking policy is --- I understand that it does change rather frequently --- just curious as to what it is --- thanks for your response - this is neither for or against and it is not my intention to start another controversial thread ---

They just changed the policy fleet wide and there is no smoking allowed in cabins but you can on the balcony. On starboard side outside decks and some bars. One bar will be totally smoke free.

A friend who currently works on the Jewel said that the Schooner Bar is now smoke free, as are all the cabins. Smoking is still allowed on the balconies. There is still a smoking area in the back of the Safari Club (as well as in cigar lounge).

Just came back from the Jewel of the Seas New Years Eve cruise last weekend. While we were there, they put little no smoking signs on all of the cabin doors. They did this January 1st; they weren't there when we boarded. We don't smoke so I'm sure of all of the smoking areas, but we did see a lot of people standing outside on the open decks smoking, while we were taking our walks around the deck. Smoking is still allowed on the balconies and we saw a lot of people smoking in the Pit Stop. It's the bar between the casino and the lounge for the shows. We had to walk thru there to get to the show lounge, and I'm very sensitive to smoke because of my health issues, so I just held my breath till I got thru. There were two non smoking nights in the casino and the casino was packed with people. It was a big hit.
