ohiocruisemom Posted January 10, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2008 Has anyone had experience with cabin 8108 on Enchantment? I will still need to use wheelchair after ankle surgery in December so we booked that cabin. Not sure what to expect. OhioCruiseMom
judyzoo Posted January 10, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2008 Yes! We were in 8108 and loved it! It's big (245 sq ft + 58 sq ft balcony, for 303 sq ft. total), compared to a non-HC cabin of the same type. Lots of space to roll around in, good sized balcony. And since it's so large, they haven't eliminated any of the furniture to create more space, as sometimes happens in HC cabins. There's an empty space just as you come into the door which is a great place for storing a wheelchair for when you're not using it. I wish I could post a photo here, but I still haven't learned how. Enjoy!
ohiocruisemom Posted January 10, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted January 10, 2008 I thought 245 and 58 were the regular dimensions for JS. I am glad that you liked the cabin and that they didn't remove any of furniture! OhioCruiseMom
cb at sea Posted January 11, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2008 I would imagine there is a roll-in shower, instead of a tub, tho???? And handicapped bars everywhere in the bath???
FrancescaH Posted January 11, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2008 I haven't had an accessible on the Enchantment but I've had no issue with the accessibles on the Voyager class. I did do a search and found at least one photo of 8108 and maybe if you look through their photos you'll find more. http://travel.webshots.com/photo/1403320677046878319VRBaFR
judyzoo Posted January 11, 2008 #6 Share Posted January 11, 2008 I would imagine there is a roll-in shower, instead of a tub, tho???? And handicapped bars everywhere in the bath??? Yes, a roll-in shower and grab bars. No tub. If I'm wrong about the measurements, so be it. Whatever they are, 8108 is much larger than the usual JS. We sailed with friends who had a regular JS on the same deck and not far from ours, and we all visited with each other in our cabins, and I can assure you that our cabin was much larger.
