halliewd Posted January 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2008 BOARDING TIME: All Guests must be on board 2 hrs. prior to sailing time otherwise your cruise reservation is subject to cancellation. I thought for sure I had heard 1 hour.....
smeyer418 Posted January 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2008 There is a longesh thread on this. Homeland security requires a final manifest to be submitted electronically 1 hour prior to departure....they need some time to complete it and file, so this is now the standard. No one has reported anyone being denied boarding if showing up less than the 2 hours...yet since this went into effect on 1/1/2008
halliewd Posted January 11, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted January 11, 2008 Sorry I didn't see the other Thread.... A bit worried ...we are flying in the same day and when we booked air 4 months ago thought one hour was the rule....
Kingmaker_inc Posted January 12, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 12, 2008 I'm in the same spot as you... already had my flight booked before the rules changed. We don't arrive until 12:40. I reviewed the flight itinerary with both my travel agent and the NCL person I got on the phone at the time of booking. Both said it should be fine. If everything goes smoothly, we would be at the pier easily by 2:00... but that is now after the deadline. Now I am really worried.
2boyzmom Posted January 12, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2008 You guys are brave- flying in the same day is risky- especially in the winter. Any chance of paying a fee to fly in the day before?
