Cristobal Pier Excursions

Can someone tell me how there can only be a two hour stop at Cristobal Pier yet the excursions listed are 8 hours? There must be more to this, correct?

At least fro my 2/2 Acapulco to Miami trip through the canal there used to be a link with the Cristobal Pier shore excursions that explained if passengers take one of the Panama Canal trips you would disembark by tender in Lake Gatun, take your excursion then meet up with the ship at Cristobal. Only passengers taking tours would be allowed off and those passengers taking the tours will miss the portion of the Canal from Lake Gatun down to the Caribbean. The link probably disappeared when the Azamara website was seperated from Celebrity's. I hope this helps.
