St.Thomas excursion - champagne or beach escape?

Recommended Posts

We just did the The Champagne Catamaran Sail and Snorkel over christmas. We were not able to do the stated trip to St John because of high seas in that area, but went to Christmas cove instead. However, the captain and crew on that excursion are really really fun and it was a great trip regardless.

We also did the St John Beach Escape tour and thought it was great. We rode over to St John on a boat (left in front of our ship), then in an open sided bus along the coastline (great views) to Trunk Bay - most beautiful beach !! There we had approx 2 hrs for swimming.

Here's another option for you, especially if you want to go snorkeling.

Grab a cab and head over to Coki beach. The snorkeling there is some of the best we've ever seen! The beach itself isn't the largest, beaches like Maegans bay are prettier. Coki is kind of in its own protected cove and our favorite spot from any cruise. Also, if you like spicey food, there is a food hut, I think it was Chef Leslie, and bar none the best jerk chicken/shrimp in the world!

Just a thought. I forget what a cab there cost, but I don't think it was much.
