Any recent Glory pax out there who did eastern itinerary? We are in Nassau from 8:30 am til 2:00 pm ...Is that enought time to head over to Atlantis and walk around and is there a beach near there to swim at for a little while? How long does it take to get to Atlantis from port? And one more question...what time did you actually get off the ship right at 8:30? thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Yes you have plenty of time to see Atlantis. It is a short cab ride of just a few minutes cost is about $ 4 pp each way. You can use their beach at Atlantis for free not their pool area or equipment. We have been to Nassau 8/10 times and a few times we got there early but never late. Hope that answers your questions. Enjoy your cruise.

Another way is too take a water taxi. They are near Senior Frogs across from the cruise docks. They run to atlantis for $3 each way.

My experiences have been identical to those mentioned by Gary.

If you are going to Atlantis strictly to gamble, might I suggest the Crystal Palace Casino instead at the Wyndham Resort on Cable Beach. DH and I have gone there the last three times in Nassau and much prefer it to Atlantis. The table game minimums are much lower and there are many more modern penny slots. I found the majority of the slots in Atlantis in 2006 were the old reel kind, very few video poker machines, and very few quarter and nickel slots. The table game minimums were very high. Crystal Palace has many fewer people during the day, too. You can get there by taxi ($12 each way) or walk down Bay Street and take the #10 jitney for $1 per person each way. We took the taxi both ways in Dec. because of the short time in Nassau, but usually we take the jitney because we are in Nassau alot longer.

I believe you can also use the beach at the Wyndham Resort, but I am not sure if there is a minimal charge or not since we just went there to gamble.

The water taxi is nice when the weather is good. You do have a little bit of a walk to get to Atlantis. It is about 3/4 mile slightly up hill.
