There is no Amtrak service to Galveston. There was talk of restarting some kind of train service to Galveston but I don't think anything came of it.

 

I live in the area and there has been no publicity concerning the train service concept.

Amtrak website lists two spots in Galveston??? One is at 25th and strand. But it says it is a Bus throughway service, so it means you jump on a bus from some other station.

 

There's an Amtrak station in downtown Houston, they probably bus you to Galveston from there.
