tin01 Posted January 15, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2008 Hello ! We will cruise on the Serena in 2 weeks ( from 29th ) and our friends have a 14 year old son. Would he be able to enter and ( or ) use : - the fitness room (gym) - the inner pool - the steam room with or without the parents present ? I checked Costas website and it doesn't say anything about it... Thank you Tincek

wbarrister Posted January 17, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2008 I can only tell you what I observed on the Costa Victoria (South America) a few weeks ago. The policy was clearly posted: No one under 18 [or 16] can use the indoor pool at the spa, and the same for the steam room. The only people using the pool were children! I didn't look in the steam room. The gym had both children and adults. At least on our cruise - no enforcement! Hope that helps.
tin01 Posted January 18, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted January 18, 2008 Thank you for your answers. Do you know, if this policy is to be found on the Costa website ? T.
Rare Morgsmom Posted January 22, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2008 the only place that I could find it was in regards to the use of the Spa/Fitness centers associated with the ships that have Samsara Spa categories. In that case it is 18 and strictly enforced. I have never seen anyone younger than 15/16 in one of the gyms; if your son is a "Big" 14 he might pass, or he might get kicked out. I would be prepared for either way.
