Molly the Cat Posted January 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2008 They are so sweet. And you can bring in so many personal touches. A vow renewal is not a legal issue nor is it necessarily a religous one. Check with your own religious affiliation to find out if they have any rules. You do not need a license ($95.00 saved) nor a do you need a minister/rabbi/imam/notary to perform a service, unless you want one. It is a good idea to have an officiant/traffic controller to be in charge. Cost: my brother's was in a public park and we had KFC. I worked with one this fall at nearly $100,000. Costs will depend on location, and food and drink, especailly if you want a hotel or banquet hall. If you have a religous affiliation, see if your local organization has a "sister" in Miami that has a hall, chapel, garden than you can use at a small fee. If you are thinking about an outdoor location, consider the weather. It's hot, humid and rainy in summer in Florida. And mostly hot and humid the rest of the year. The best thing to do is understand your vision of the occasion and start a net search. And don't listen to anyone else who tries to cloud that vision! It's YOUR occasion!
