cruise documents

Thanks for all the great threads folks, I have got a lot of useful information:) .Could someone out there tell me how far in advance you receive your documents the days appear to to get longer before we cruise 11/14/04 on the victory.:cool:

Typically between 3-6 weeks, but YMMV.

For our cruise on 9\4\04, we received our docs about a month before. I know it is hard to wait. We were so excited when they finally came!

Yep, approx. 3 to 4 weeks before you sail.

Did you book directly with Carnival or with a TA? We booked through a TA. We are booked for the Miracle on 10/24. We are leaving from Baltimore & Carnival is defintely bumping pax as the cruise is overbooked. I read an article stating since August 2004 (I think that's correct date) Carnival is sending docs 6 weeks in advance. So, we are getting anxious.

We booked through a very large TA that deals only with Cruising. The doc's were printed and the envelope postmarked on 9/11 :( and we received them on the 14th. One thing that was interesting is this is the first time we received the doc's directly from the cruise line. In the past we always got them from the T/A.
