A Beach that has it all

We'll be in Barbados in early April. Us guys like to snorkel, the gals like to sit in the shade and swim ( float) in calm waters. We're doing snorkeling excursions in St Thomas and St Lucia, so the snorkeling doesn't have to be great, but something more than a sandy bottom will do. The ship offers an excursion to Malibu- which is next to the Boathouse I think. We stopped to swim there ( Boathouse)in the afternoon last time ( not a place to snorkel at all). Is there a beach convenient to the ship that we all will be happy with? I read here somewhere that Brandon's had decent snorkeling- is that true?
