Twinboys Posted January 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2008 We just booked our very first cruise on FOS 8/24/08. I have found out so much useful info. on this site and it has made our decision making much easier. Our 9 yr. old twins are excited to both fly and be on a big ship and we can't wait! We booked a JS on deck 9 and just have our airfare and hotel room to book. I just keep reading all the threads here and many of my questions have been answered. The only question I have at this point is will my 9 yr olds be able to use the fitness center? They love exercise equipment and would love to try it all out. I wasn't sure if there is an age requirement to access that room. Thanks for all the great tips! I did watch the Travel Channel's program last night on cruising do's and don'ts, and happy to report that we are on track!
RetireeWannabee Posted January 22, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2008 I cannot speak specifically for that ship, but 9 is generally underage for the fitness room. They can, however, use the jogging track.
DPurcell58 Posted January 22, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2008 Come on over to our rollcall! Also, I doubt they can use the gym either, I think they have to be 16.
butterfly2 Posted January 22, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2008 I also think the age is 16.
johnrobert57 Posted January 22, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2008 The age is 16 for sure. My 15 year old football playing son was refused use of the fitness center equipment last year.....no exceptions. Believe its an insurance liability issue.
