DollarWine Posted January 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2008 Just returned from back to back cruises on the Fortuna - 1/6 and 1/13 sailings. We did not sleep at all the first 2 nights because of the noise coming from the service area below our cabin. The noise was constant throughout the night, morning and daytime hours. We moved to another cabin and slept well for the duration of the 1st itenarary. We also need to return to cabin 1369 for the next itenarary. UGH! Needless to say - 3 more sleepless nights until we were able to get a cabin after we left St. Thomas. We were not treated very nicely by their so called customer service. Has anyone else had this problem?

That's why I always book mid ship, mid deck sandwiched between two other decks of cabins
DollarWine Posted January 22, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted January 22, 2008 That's not always the case. We were moved to cabin 1267 and had no problem.
antpro Posted January 22, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2008 We had cabins 1371-1375 and we did not hear any noise. We slept fine:D
DollarWine Posted January 23, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted January 23, 2008 Good for you! On the 1/6 sailing, cabins 1367, 1365, 1363 and 1361 were all upset because of the noise. We were all out in the hallway at 1 a.m. One gentleman even wore earlugs, took valium and covered his head and he still couldn't sleep. Beleive me, the noise was terrible. joetrizeo Posted January 23, 2008 #6 Share Posted January 23, 2008 cabins to avoid are always a good tip! also avoid cabins on deck 6 as they're right above all the action (bars, dance clubs) on deck 5.
