West Coast Cruising

I have always cruised the carribbean, never the west coast. We are going on the Pride on 2/10/08. What will the seas be like?

No problem with the seas. The current is going towards the Equator this time of year. As such, it may be a little [but not much] rougher as you go northward

We did the Pacific route a couple years ago during January. No real waves to speak of, looked pretty calm. Going south it felt about as flat as could be. Coming back north you could tell we were bucking the current. Still no waves, but long drawn out rollers caused more pitching than usual. The bow of the ship rose and dropped notably. It wasn't uncomfortable or anything, just noticeable.
