Help on Maui car rental

I have been trying to find a car rental for the day we are on Maui. We dock at Lahaina. I don't know which location will be closest or easiest to rent from. Also does anyone know of an agency that is open late evening. We don't leave till 9 pm and some rental car agencies close at 5. Do all of the agencies offer shuttles back to the dock? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

We're on the Wind a month later and I'm also trying to figure out car rental in Maui. We're renting on our Kahului day and will be in port until 10:30pm.

Most car rental places near Lahaina are actually located at the Kapalua Airport location. Thus, they're all about equally far from the Lahaina dock and you'll need a shuttle/taxi to get there. You may want to call the locations directly to discuss your concerns with them.

If you are a Costco member, go to their website and book the car rental online using their discount codes. I have commercial rates with most of the major rental agencies and the Costco rates are invariably cheaper.

I rented a Chevy minivan last week from Alamo at Kahului Airport for $346, out the door. I thought it was a very good deal.
