mdnikki Posted January 25, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2008 Hi, we are going on the our first cruise in June. We are going on a 7 day cruise to the Western Caribbean. I had a few questions, I think I understand the seapass is used for most onboard purchases except tips and casino. How much cash should someone bring? I am assuming we need cash for all our ports of call, shopping, beach chair rental, food drink while in port. I was just wondering how much cash everyone brings on board, what you need cash for etc. There are 3 in our party 2 adults and a teenager.
Sue L Posted January 25, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2008 We figure about 100$ a day for incidentals. Our seapass account we secure with a credit card and the cash is for in ports, etc. Bring small bills because while all the Caribbean ports will accept US$ not everyone will have US change. Casino uses cash but if you want you can have your tips put on your seapass account. The amount you bring will depend on your family. We don't eat in port, you might want to. We take excursions that we book ahead of time so they are all paid for. You might decide that morning to do something and will need cash for that. So much is dependent on you. robtulipe Posted January 25, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2008 You can also get casino cash advances put on your Seapass onboard account and there is no extra fees or service charge for doing this as is common with other cruise lines. While this is meant for use in the casino, others on this board have posted doing this to get a cash for other activities.
