Dredging Project in Long Beach

Hey all -

I don't think this impacts any cruise ships, but the Corp of Engineers has started a dredging project in the area of the Queen Mary intended to clean out silt that has deposited from recent heavy rains. I guess it's been scheduled for a while, but recent runoff has made things worse. My ferry ride to Catalina (Catalina Express) has been moved to San Pedro because the berths in Long Beach are closed until the end of February. Like I said, I don't think this impacts the cruise ship terminal, but if you had planned a side trip to Catalina you'll want to make note of it.
