Taxis at Port Canaveral?

Does anyone know if there are taxis waiting at the port at Port Canaveral during debarkation for someone without a reservation? Any advice on how to inexpensively get back to the Orlando airport? We are renting a car to get to the port the day before, but don't want to take the time to rent one for flying out the same day. I've found some shuttles, but they seem pricey. Can we just hop in a taxi as at other ports? We appreciate any advice!

It would be way too expensive to take a cab to the Orlando airport from Port Canaveral. My suggestion (and this is what we do) is go ahead and rent a car. Budget and Avis have shuttles that will pick you up at the port and take you to their office. Then you can pick up your car and drive to the airport. This will save you some money.

It is definitely cheaper to rent a car. Since the shuttle will pick you up at the port it is really no trouble at all.
