Viper Posted January 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2008 Will they let our 5 & 8 year old kids stay in the same group? Carnival book says the groups are 2-5 and 6-
cruisinjerseygirl Posted January 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2008 Usually they don't but if your 5 year old is closer to 6 and you ask and explain that you would like them together then they might do it for you.
Rare angelsfort Posted January 28, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2008 it also depends on how many they've got in the 6-11 year old group... if they've got a lot in there, they probably won't.
sea_u_onboard Posted January 28, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2008 While you may think they will do better together you will be surprised how much they enjoy themselves without the other one being around. Plus - if I remember correctly - many of the age groups do things together. So they will have time together and time apart. Pick up the Camp Capers for each age group and compare. cruisingmore Posted January 28, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 28, 2008 On the Conquest, the groups were broken down even more 6-8 and 9-11, if that's on your ship, you might get lucky with keeping them together. My DD8 will be in a separate club from her cousins (both in the 9-11), but they are good with it, they get all the other time on the ship together! ParrotHead79 Posted January 28, 2008 #6 Share Posted January 28, 2008 We just came off the triumph, and our friends were in a similar situation. Their daughter was 7, and ther son was 5. He was only a few months away from his 6th birthday. They did not allow him to be in the 6-8 group. He had to stay in the 2-5 group. BTW--there were 600 kids under 18 on this cruise. That may have had something to do with it. Our daughters were both in the 6-8 group. We had a hard time pulling them away. All they wanted to do was go to camp. They had an awesome time.
