Born out of state? Need birth certificate?

Hope this is helpful to someone out there.

 

There are some internet sites which will promise to do all the work in getting your BC. and they charge a rediculous fee. Here is what I did.

 

I typed in the city I was born. Searched the site for the town hall and sure enough, there was area for applying for BC.

 

Printed out the form and filled it in.

 

Faxed the form to the town hall along with copy of my drivers license and followed with a call to give my credit card #. All for the cost of $13.00 which is the typical fee of the town hall. Otherwise, I would have paid anywhere from $40-$60 for those other internet sites.
