schultz Posted January 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2008 Do you have to go through any kind of immigration when arriving in St. Thomas or San Juan since they are all US ports and the ship does not go anywhere else after leaving the Port of Miami. I have heard horror stories about people having huge delays when they arrive in St. Thomas.
jonsmom Posted January 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2008 Yes it is in St. Thomas. Previous posters have reported that it is quick and painless.
sparkscruiser Posted January 28, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2008 Freedom does two eastern itineraries (at least the website says it does!) but if you are doing San Juan, St Thomas and then St. Maarten you will not be required to go through immigration. If you are on the cruise that goes to Half Moon Cay, San Juan, St. Thomas and Grand Turk - then you will need to go through immigration. It's not too bad, we did it in November. If you have a Carnival excursion that is early, they will direct you to the front of the line (supposedly:p ). Regardless, have a wonderful cruise. schultz Posted January 28, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted January 28, 2008 thank you a million. :) :) :) We are planning on meeting up with friends off the Triumph in St. Thomas and I have a feeling that they will take longer than we will to get off the ship!!
