Cabins near elevators - Noisy?

How noisy is this, really?

 

I'm looking at cabins relatively central (new eurodam) however, I'm wary that those closest to the elevator will be noisy. Who's been in such a cabin and can comment.

We were in 8021 on a Vista, which is near the forward elevator bank, and it wasn't noisy. I think one near the central set of four glass elevators and two interior elevators could be a problem because of the amount of traffic there.

We have been close to elevators on a few cruises, with no problems.

I had a cabin on the Noordam (5147) directly behind an aft elevator. We heard nothing from the them.

We like to book rooms in the center of the ship and we've never been bothered with the elevator. Its really very quiet

we have had cabins by elevators and there really was no noise .. however, if you are on the deck below lido, then there is noise from above - that is more of a problem than anything else.

We were in 7046 on the Westerdam very near the elevator. Absolutely no hall noise, but the ding of the elevator was audible. Did not bother us though.

We were in 5150 on the Noordam...very close to the aft bank of elevators. The only thing we could hear was the ding when the elevator stopped at our deck.

I don't think the elevators will be a problem.

We've been in cabins right next to the glass elevators and have never heard a noise - not even a ding - even when we are on the verandah you can't hear a whoosh from the glass elevators.:)

We were in 7063 on the Zuiderdam, which is the second cabin from the glass elevator and we heard nothing. Even standing on the balcony we only heard a slight noise when the glass elevator was going up and down. We also heard nothing from the other elevators (the ones in the center of the hallway that are directly in front of the glass elevators). We were pretty close to the Neptune Lounge and thought we might hear talking, but we heard very little noises.

We had a SA right by the glass elevator on the Zuiderdam and did hear nothing...we even liked it so much that we booked the same location on the Eurodam!
