pier liquor store - beer?

I know this was a question awhile ago, but we are cruising with my DSisIL and DBIL. He only drinks Belgian beer :rolleyes: . Any chance the pier liquor store sells Belgian beer? The rest of us don't care what we drink. :cool: ;)

As of last year, the liquor store at the pier does not sell any beer. I think there is one across the street that does. Whether they have the brand----???

Depends on which pier in San Juan, too. The Pan American pier is a ways from town. There was a duty free shop at that pier, but I don't know if they sold beer.

We just came home from San Juan. There is no beer in the liqour stores in the terminal. We had our cab driver stop along the way from the airport and loaded up on beer. There is plenty of beer to be bought in the ports and can be brought on the ship with ANY problems.

There is a small convenience store right outside of the pier area across the street from the entrance in a small strip mall area (right next to the bus station). They sell local beer (Medalla Light) for $6 for 6. I didn't see if they had any other beer, buy I would recommend that they try this. It is very close to Heineken.
