marilynbn Posted April 30, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2004 Ok now I have great info on sunscreen, how about shampoos? Does anyone recommend one that is good for people who expose their hair to a lot of sun and salt water. I know there are types for pool water/chlorine exposure but what about salt water or even for twice daily care. I expect to be in the water everyday and probably washing it at least once to twice per day. Thanks so much....oh and a product that is also good for color-treated hair too. Thanks again...Marilyn Pride of Aloha Disney Magic Eastern Caribbean

MidtheNight Posted May 2, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 2, 2004 High exposure to salt water dries out your hair (and your skin so bring some lotion too). If you plan on doing a lot of diving/snorkeling/swimming in salt water one shampoo a day should be with a moisturizing shampoo or follow a normal shampoo with a conditioner. Hair literally turns into feeling like hay without it if you are doing a lot of salt water activities. Doesn't really matter (IMO) the brand as everybody has their own preference....but the need to add some moisture back is it definately there.
