LisaDee Posted February 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2008 We are cruising with our children over Spring Break (the week before Easter) on the Serenade of the Seas. They have cruised before and LOVE the kids club but we've never cruised during a holiday or school break time so there weren't alot of kids participating. I'm wondering how RCCL handles the large number of kids over busy times like Spring Break. Are there any issues with AO being "full" and not being able to drop off your kids? Do they have to expand out to other rooms on the ship to accomodate all the kids? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Lisa
Onessa Posted February 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2008 We cruised AK a few years back when the cruise had a "record" number of kids on board. They had a few extra counselors on board (NCL did the same thing when we did a cruise with them and they anticipated large number of kids). At no time did the kids club hit any capacity. The kids club "reserved" some of the public areas a bit more often than I have noticed them do so on other cruises. When the kids could dine with the counselors, that activity filled to capacity each night -- but other than that nothing hit capacity.
