Snorkle Fins

I'm in need of replacing our fins - would like to get the smaller size. Would I be able to easily find them once we arrive in Hawaii or should I go to our local speciality dive shop - which we will be paying top dollar for the fins?

For really good fins go to Sports Authority on Ward Ave. (near corner of Ala Moana Blvd and Ward Ave)

There are several dive shops also in town but I have not dealt with any of them

WalMart (Keeaumoku St near Ala Moana Shopping Center) and KMart (Nimitz Hwy near Hilo Hatties) also sell lesser quality fins.

Probably it's cheaper to get one in Hawaii. Supply and demand. Most dime stores such as ABC stores or Shop-&-Save in Hawaii carry complete snorkeling equipment of simple quality. They are generally not expensive. It depends on what quality fins you want, and of course that depends on how much snorkeling you expect to do in years ahead. If you want higher quality fins, then go to a dive shop, but naturally you pay more. Most shopping centers in Hawaii has dive shops.
