Leaving kids home..............

We are curising for the first time and we are not taking the kids. I have never left them before and do not know what to put in a letter to leave with my parents to have them treated if medical attention is needed.

When we left our son with my parents, we contacted the pediatrician to inform him. We also had a letter drafted by our lawyer when we had our will made. It was a separate letter indicating who could make medical decisions if our son was left in their care. This is good in any emergency.

Put the dates and your names and that you give permission for your parents (full names) to make any and all medical decision for your minor children (their names) for the time you will be gone. I always added a few days just in case. Have it notarized.

 

You should also give your parents your ship name and cabin # and this info

Congrats on your "adult only" cruise! Don't worry too much! Your parents took care of you just fine, and they will do the same for their precious grandkids!
