How do you "link" reservations?

We are booked on a cruise and my brother-in-law's reservation is "linked" (I think that is the correct term) to ours. My understanding is that since the reservations are linked, we will be assigned to the same table at dinner. Our reservations were made at the same time with the same TA.

My question now begins here. We have some friends that want to join us on the cruise and it would be nice to be assigned to the same table as them for dinner. They will be booking through their own TA (not ours). So, does anyone know how we all can get the same table for dinner?

Many thanks!!!!
