New Year's Eve - Group Cruise

I've tried several times to book a group on the Conquest for New Year's Eve 2008 and have been told they are no longer taking groups on this cruise. I first tried back in the fall. Does this mean they just don't take groups on cruises over New Year's Eve because they can fill the ship without them? Has anyone here booked a group over New Year's? I really don't believe they had filled their "quota" of group bookings back in Sept. of 07 for Dec. of 08, but I've been wrong before!

I've tried it with Carnival directly. I've called their group cruise department periodically over the past 4 or 5 months.

Maybe you can email Laura the board manager.. and ask her how you can set up a group thru CC for you;)
