Local Dining in Nassau

My husband and I leave for a five night Bahamas cruise in four weeks :D !!! Having done the Bahamas before (this is our third time -- it's more about the cruise than the Bahamas!), we're just going to wander near the pier. Anybody have any ideas on where we can find some local food without fear of food poisoning? Conch fritters, a drink or two? Thanks for your help!

Happy Cruising!!

Our favorite place is Arawak Cay/Fish Fry. Read about it here:
