We are going with Major Tom in March, but have heard that since we are not going with a RCCL excursion that we will be last off the ship... anyone give me a time they got off.... I know everyone says we will have lots of time to get back, but was just wondering what time non-cruiseline excursion cave tubers got back. We are having a private tour WITHOUT lunch, as we would feel better having lunch back at the pier and Major Tom said that would be fine. Thanks for any imput.

I was on the Jewel last month, and had a tour scheduled with Major Tom.

The night before, after the show, the CD went over the procedure for tendering into Belize. Everyone with a RCCL tour was to meet in the theater and would be taken down for the 1st tender. After he finished talking, I privately asked him about those of us that had private excursions scheduled for the morning and he said for us to go down to deck 2 (disembarking deck) and wait on the stairs with the photographers. We did that with about 30 other people who had private tours and when they cleared us for disembarking we were on the 1st tender with all of the people who had RCCL tours. It was not a problem.

Just a note, of the tenders they used, one was capable of carrying up to 500 people, so you should not have a problem getting on the 1st tender. Just take your confirmation with you, and let them know you have a scheduled tour.

We had lunch on our tour with Major Tom and even with van troubles (we had to get a new van), we still made it back to the port with hours to spare. We did some shopping and went back to the ship way before the last tender. You have plenty of time to do lunch with Major Tom, if you want. For only $5, it was delicious!!!!
